isn’t it you who is dragging ISI into a new scandal even before the new DG is appointed???
the selection is purely between PM and COAS and no other entity have their role into naming or objecting about him!!!

even if he is Just ex-Justice Ramday's nephew... he have been promoted to the ranks for his professionalism and not by nepotism... and if COA and PM thinks he is the right choice then it is their decision to made... just because PTI chief have reservation ( BTW he hates everyone in Pakistan) then he can do more drama ...

Ramday sounds like an 'Indian' name, so we can't trust this guy, so I suggest we make Nazeer Butt the DG of the ISI, that way Nawaz can make up for whatever damage he's done to the Butt tribe.

Listen I am not saying anything unusual here and no need to be annoyed. In this forum army/ISI involvement in politics has always been condemned as this is a political forum. Dragging army in politics make IK and his supporters as anti-democratic which I have always condemned. I am no fan of NS and I used very harsh words for NS too when he involved CAOS in negotiations. earlier.

DG ISI can only be appointed by the recommendation of COAS
There is no doubt that Its will be almost impossible for Govt to appoint a DG ISI without getting a blessings from Raheel but as per constitution PM is the sole authority to appoint DG ISI. Unless I am missing something

YES in ideal democracy, this should be a routine appointment with a handout from defense ministry but then in ideal democracy Zardari, Nawaz, Imran, Altaf, fazlu, Iftekhar, Shujaat etc etc will all be behind bars.

Why this is being discussed in PA? Is DG ISI also a political person? It is a shame how people show interest in ISI head which proves how certain faction of people want continued army's involvement in the politics of Pakistan. It is a professional post nothing to do with politics, why the hell people who support IK worried about this position? Who cares whosoever is appointed.
Please tell us why Bhutto made a political cell inside ISI and why the last PPP govt wanted it under interior ministry when the gorment has police, rangers / FC and a domestic ISI counterpart called IB (FIA is for financial crimes) ?
