General Bajwa is easy going, and friendly person. He is considered a true soldier without any political leanings and is expected to given space to civilian administration which had diminished under General Raheel Sharif. Relations are expected to improve between the government and army under him.

What about military corruption is punished, military is made aware of facts that it is responsible for most humiliating surrender, made taliban than killed 50K pakistanies and OBL was living in their backyard. How about like every other country where there is a progress, military comes under civilian control and dont run a state within a state. I think thats a doable cost, what worse can happen, not like 93000 dogs will go back to indian jails, right ?

Any true soldier with understanding of world affairs will need to make relations with Government better. Some of these paper tigers may think they can over run a govt, which they may very well with their guns and tanks but since OBL capture, dynamics are changed. World knows it is rogue army and western world will never allow a military govt with out taking concessions like giving up on nukes period. Also, if army wants to continue to make its business prosper its better to let civilian Govt stay there, take all blames and they can continue to run their bakeries or land grabbing / development or DHA etc.

The problem is state with in state. ISI and GHQ after years of no check and control have become extermely rogue or have extremely rogue elements that fund these so called anchors to sway opinion. They know with professional Infantry soldiers like RS or Bajwa or Kyani, things are different. This cancer needs to be treated but it will take time, these rogue elements (some effin Colones/majors, may be a general two, less than nothing retards who think they know better than collective intelligence of country) will lose their value over time as the system progress, elections happen and people learn about power of Voting out politicians.

Corruption is less than during Musharraf period and governance in terms of development of the country is better than it has been for a while. Media and Army should get government to improve its efficiency further instead of trying to replace the NS with a hypocrite who is surrounded and backed by corrupt elements within the business community, the media and the military for their own vested interests.
