Quite possible they have TRAKKER installed in the cop cars to prevent thef and they drove out of range leading to the engine quitting on them.

i worked as a karachi cop for 34 years so can you guys stop being a complete a$$holes. I have worked to protect and serve this country. I am surprised how everyone is dissing the Karachi Police Force. There are a lot of us like my colleages that worked very hard, very honestly and very faithfully. And this is the kind of thanks we get.

Thanks a lot guys. No really i didnt expect any better.

without looking to the matter, everyone just start bashing them. given the least respect you guys give them. they might by very right to behave rude. living 5000 rupees, no annual holidays, 24 hours required(its literally there by law they are not allowed to sleep)

now come to cars. oftenly a car or 2 are assigned to a Police station for 40-50 people on the every police station. So this car doesnt get rest at all, one party leave it, the other start riding it straight away.

apart from petrol, time and que at Police workshop doesnt permit proper servicing of new or old cars. hence such results.
mostly cars are service at local garrage - free of charge or paid by some victim of crime or suspect. how honestly will it be serviced?

there is no swap car while they get it repaired at police own workshop, they are not allowed "officially" to get it service by anyone else!

1 or 2 are official drivers by profession assigned to each car. but in reality many police employee drive or learn driving on them. if anyone check there will be hardly any driving license(not that its so hard for them to get one) held by police car drivers. ;)

as a nation we are good at sometime flash new cars to police or other departments, same goes for new roads or infrastructure. a new built - then forgotten.
thats what is lacking and not considered.
