It was a do-or-die game for Shahrukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders but they were soundly and emphatically beaten by the dominant opposition from Chennai Super Kings by 9 wickets on Tuesday.

And the man who’s most disappointed is Shahrukh Khan who apologised to the team’s loyal fans for yet another embarrassingly poor season of IPL. Last year, their team was last in the points table; this year it’s second last.
“Outbatted, outbowled, outclassed…out of semis. Never lost so much, so often, so consistently. Apologies to all who supported us,” SRK tweeted after the team’s defeat on Tuesday.
Instead of blaming anyone, SRK took all blame upon himself.

“I completely take the blame for not putting up a good enough show…so much love for KKR & I couldn’t reciprocate,” he wrote.
