I would like to share with you and my experience about lying. [Image]
One day, I saw a beautiful ring on mommyís night table.I said ìWOWÖmommy
is that a diamond ring?î She said ìYes Aisha, it isÖdonít play with
it!Itís expensive and if you lose it, Iíll be really sad.î
When mommy left the room, I couldnít help but try it on.It was
wonderful!The jewels were shining in the light and it just looked
perfect on my little finger.I thought to myself ìIím sure mommy wonít
mind me taking it and returning it later in the dayîÖAnd so it all
started!
I had mommyís ring on when I went to the park to play with Hanna and
Mariam (we were accompanied by Hannaís dad of course because we canít go
alone!).Well, after playing, I realized that I lost the ring!!Mommyís
precious ring!!I started to panic and thought of excuses to use in case
she discovers it was missing.YESÖI WAS GOING TO LIE TO MOM! [Image]

That night, Mom came over to tuck me into bed and said:ìAisha darling,
did you see my ring?îìNo Mom, I didnít see it since the morning.î Mom
had a worried look on her face and said ìI trust you Aishaî She gave me
a kiss and turned out the lights.I started crying because I knew Allah
wasnít please with me because I lied. I fell asleep and here is what I
dreamedÖ

I was in a dark place and I heard a thundering voice saying ìYoung
Aisha!Why did you lie to your Mom?Didnít you know that Allah will punish
you for that?îThe voice shook me and I was really scared, so I replied
quickly ìNOÖI didnít lie!î The voice spoke again and said ìAisha, Allah
knows you best and you did lie to your mom.î ìNo I didnítî ìLet your
mouth be shut Aisha, and let your hands and eyes testify that you
actually lied to your Momî the voice said.
All of a sudden, my mouth was shutÖI struggled to open it but
couldnít!!My eyes spoke up and said:
[Image]ìAisha, we saw you take the ring from your momís night tableî
[Image]ìAisha, Iím your finger, you did wear the ring AishaÖyou didî
[Image]ìAisha, Iím your tongueÖyou used me to lieîÖ
I fell on my knees and in my heart I made a prayer ìO Allah, forgive me
for lying, you are the all-Knowing and all-Seeing. I will tell mom the
truthÖplease forgive meî

I woke up with a screamÖthen I said ìa-ootho billahi min al-shaytan
al-rajeemî three time (itís what you say when you have a bad dream).Then
I gathered up my courage and went to my mom.I told her ìIím sorry Mom, I
lied to you, I did take the ring and I lost it in the park.I will never
lie to you again or disobey you, because I promised that I will be good
and never lie so that Allah would forgive me.î
My mom had a smile on her face!She said ìOh Aisha, I knew it all along,
Hannaís dad found the ring and gave it back to me.Iím happy that you
learned your lesson and inshaaAllah Allah will forgive you my
darling.Never lie again sweetheart.î
I smiled and my eyes were filled with tears.Allah is truly the most
forgiving and most kind.I did sujood to thank Allah and I never lied

Dear Big Sisters and Young Muslims, donít lie, because if you do then on
the day of Judgement your body will testify against youÖand you donít
want to go to Hell Fire right?

Our dear Young Muslims, did you know that in the Quraan it says:
This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to
Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. [Quraan
36:65]
See…if you lie, your mouth will be sealed…and your hands and parts
of your body will testify to Allah about your actions…so be careful my
dear youngsters ok?
Don’t EVER lie! May Allah forgive us if we lied and inshaAllah we all
will never lie again!!
