Networking a Mac and a PC

Alright guppies. I need all the help I can get.

What I have:
One Mac (G4 dual 1Ghz, w/ 1.25Gig RAM, PowerMac - running OSX )
One HP Laptop (AMD Turion 64 w/ 2 Gig Ram - running Windows XP - Media Edition)
One HP Printer
One DSL Modem

What I would like:
The ability for both computers to share:
a. Internet
b. Files
c. Printer.

Little research that I did, tells me that Netgear Routers are compatible with Mac.

why don’t you check on www.mac-connect.com, there is a complete step by step guide for setting up a network.
