Netflix to launch 1080p streaming for Android 4.3

After revealing Google’s new Nexus 7, Director of Product Management Hugo Barra revealed that alongside its latest iteration of Android, it’s worked with Netflix to bring higher resolution video streams to compatible devices. Yep, Netflix will now run at 1080p on Android 4.3, with the video-streaming company one of the first to use the new set of DRM APIs released alongside the mobile OS update. You’ll just have to wait for that pesky Android refresh before you can try it – or buy a certain new Google-branded tablet.
