Re: Netbooks - 1.3 ghz processors
So these netbooks are not built for serious multitasking, like responding to emails and on GS and on GS chat and writing a document for work, and making a powerpoint all at the same time?
Because that is how PCG works.
Sheyn you’re not even in IT. ![]()
Besides, I normally spend over 1500 for a laptop, because I always have to go run and buy one last minute and I take what I get. So 500 is a bargain given my purchasing history.
I could pay less for a smaller netbook, but the processor is weaker, and there is way less room to work with…
This is more like a step up from a netbook. It’s like having a regular laptop except smaller…so for me the value is worth it.
My concern is the 1.3 ghz processor. What kinds of things will I not be able to do with that? I keep reading 1.3’s aren’t great for multitasking, and definitely will not work for gaming. But I’m not a gamer. I’ll have a bunch of windows open at the same time, and it is muchos important I can play my youtube videos and hulu dot com, because honestly, I don’t have a TV.
Can those functions work fine with a 1.3 ghz processor? If I need a higher processor, then it’s useless even looking for these tiny laptops, because all their processors are slower than the ones found in bulkier models, and I want to avoid bulky at this point. I already have a bulky laptop.
