Net Practice for the up coming tour of Moroco (PAK, SA, SL)

**Pakistan recalls Saqlain, Razzaq for tri-series **

Pakistan recalled off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq and top all rounder Abdul Razzaq for the tri-series at cricket’s newest venue in Morocco next month, officials said.

Pakistan will play South Africa and Sri Lanka at the one-day tournament from August 12-21.

Saqlain and Razzaq will be joining the team in Tangiers from England where they are currently playing county cricket, chief selector Wasim Bari told AFP on Thursday.

A final 15-man squad is to be announced in three weeks time.

Both Saqlain and Razzaq missed Pakistan’s Super Challenge one-day series in Australia last month due to their engagements with English counties Surrey and Middlesex.

Pakistan achieved a historic 2-1 win over Australia in the series.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) last month approved Tangiers for limited over cricket, making it the first cricket venue in North Africa.

Pakistani hopefuls will assemble in Lahore for a training camp from July 12.

Pakistan pool: Saeed Anwar, Imran Nazir, Younis Khan, Inzamam-ul Haq, Yousuf Youhana, Rashid Latif, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Azhar Mahmood, Saqlain Mushtaq, Shoaib Akhtar, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Sami, Misbahul Haq, Danish Kaneria, Shahid Afridi, Faisal Iqbal, Abdul Razzaq and Taufiq Umer

Great posts Q.
I can't believe those idiots in PCB are still experimenting with new players, by rightnow they should have already selected 17 players from now on will play till the next world cup.
I heard Muhammad Zahid was ready, why wasn't he invited?

Another pathetic decision by our friends at PCB.
Now the much expected tri nation tournament between Pak, Aus, and NZ will be held in pathetic Kenya, no offense to anyone who is in anyway affliated with Kenya, but why ruin an exciting tournament by putting 3 of the excitng teams in the world in a place where only about 1000 people will show up to watch cricket.
It was bad enough they were hosting the other tri series in Tangiers, now Kenya which is slightly better than Tangiers, who btw does not have any kind of cricket background, plus they don't even have their own local teams.
Most of these decision made by PCB are favoring the television companys who are spnsoring these 2 tournaments.
I will be exteremly surprised even if one Morrocain shows up to watch cricket.
They should have atleast even looked at hosting the tri nation tournament in North America where there are more desis other than UK and Sharjah, and everyone would turn up watching cricket.
Forget Toronto, they should have had it in Houston Astrodome.

*Some shmucks really need to learn how to post; you could have atleast specified that these pictures are not from the actual practice for the tournament(Even the team for the tournament hasn't been announced yet, I believe). Shame, shame. Really. People, That Is All.*

Yeah, nothing really exciting going on in cricket now days.
Is it just me or Pakistan aren't playing too much cricket.

Where is Muhammad Zahid, I thought he was ready to go.
Good lineup but I don’t think we will be needing 19 players for 5 matches.
We should keep the same squad which played Australia with minor changes.

Saeed Anwar
Imran Nazir
Yousuf Youhana
Inzimam-ul-Haq
Younis Khan
Shahid Afridi
Abdul Razzaq
Rashid Latif
Wasim Akram
Waqar Younis
Shoaib Akhtar

12th man Shoaib Malik

I feel very pity for Saqlain but he stepped on is own foot by choosing county cricket over his country’s interest, it looks like Afridi may take Saqlain’s place as a full time spinner.

Has Saqlain refused to join the squad, or is he going to fly straight Morocco?
