**Juan Martin Del Potro beat Fernando Verdasco 6-4 3-6 7-6 (7-1) to get his ATP World Tour Finals back on track.**Having lost his first match to Andy Murray, the Argentine served well in the first set breaking in game three.
But the Spaniard upped his game at the the end of the second set by breaking in game eight and then holding on.
Although Verdasco saved three match points in the third set, Del Potro’s serve proved the difference and he won the tiebreak convincingly.
US Open champion Del Potro now must beat Roger Federer in his last round-robin match to ensure progress to the next round.
Verdasco’s tournament is hanging by a thread but he still has a chance to progress should he win his last game against Murray and other results go his way.
