I recently got married and began taking oral birth control pills soon after the wedding. I wonder however, does taking the birth control pill affect future fertility and ability to get pregnant in the future? I asked my doctor and she said not if you haven’t been taking them for a veryyy long time, but I’m afraid like most gynos she might be downplaying the effect of the pill. I did a lot of research online and for the most part studies show that it has little to no effect on future fertility, so I started taking them. But now I feel I start panicking every time I get even a simple stomach ache and I feel odd every time I take the pill, like I might be compromising my ability to have a child later on. So if you are or have been on the pill, please share your experience and what your doctor has told you about it? Were you able to conceive after coming off it? Thanks so much guys
