Do you want american style gray?
For that in a pan heat some oil, add some flour, bhonafy it for few mins, add some sort of broth...(chicken, beef, turkey, vegetable whatever you have or can make). Stir the whole thing, let it cook till it thinkens, adjust salt and spices as desired. You can also add soysauce, vinegar, and lemon juice if desired.
And you want to make a creamy sauce then add 1 part of cream and 2 parts of broth.

grocery store, payment tools, transportation (automobile, bus, bike, legs etc), saucepan
step 1; go to store
step 2; buy gravy
step 3: return home
step 4: open and pour in sauce pan
step 5: heat
step 6: enjoy

but if you're roasting a turkey or ckn, make sure you put lots of butter on it and then baste it with a baster, suck up the juices from the bottom of the pan and squirt over bird during the last 30-45 min of roasting. Then once you remove the bird from the pan, place the roasting pan on the stovetop, add a little water (1/2 cup or so) and stir, scraping the bottom. Add water from boiled potatoes, string beans, onions, turnips. about 1 cup from each. Add powdered chicken buillon to taste, then slowly add cornstarch to thicken. Thats NOT an easy recipe but its home-made and JUST the best.
There are package powdered gravies you can make...I've used "Knorr" brands mostly, they're the best of this type if you cant make your own

make ur own .. in less time than getting out .. going to the store .. and finding it .. waiting in line .. paying for it.. walking back to the car .. .driving home

quick desi gravy :
brown onions in oil.. take em out .. blend them with tomato paste ..a lil garlic .. bring them back to the oill ..add salt pepper .. garam masala .. now let it simmer with any kind of meat of vege..

u can find kosher gravy mixes in your area, try VIP foods in ridgewood, NY, and get their kosher gravy mix.
I also recall carmel making kosher gravy.

i usually make mushroom gravy, and if i have some chicken stock at hand, i'll add it. it takes abt 15 mins to make this..
prepare mushroom stock by soaking dried shiitake mushroom in warm water and reconstituting it. then chop the mushroom. melt butter, add sliced onions and some sliced potato and brown them, add the mushroom pieces, salt, ground black pepper, and saute coupla minutes. add the mushroom stock/chicken stock.. pressure cook. when it's done, just blend it... u can whisk it smooth or leave tiny bits of potatoes/mushroom (which i loveeee). add more water to thin the gravy, or if you want it thicker, return it to a pan and simmer awhile.
if you make it to soup consistency, it's a yummy hearty meal in itself.
