IT Analyst Development Program
Program Description
The goal of the Information Technology Development Program (ITDP) is
to attract and develop high caliber IT professionals of the future for
the Research & Development IT organization within GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
This program provides a structured, high quality, broad-based approach to the training and development of new graduates. The participants in this program, called associates, will spend between two and three years in this program and are expected to develop competencies in Business Analysis, Project Management and IT Strategy and System Development. During the two to three years in the program, associates will work in at least three different areas of R&D IT. These assignments, known as rotations, promote the development of the associate through various roles and exposure to a wide range of technologies and business environments. Rotations are designed to enhance programming, analysis, leadership and project management
skills, while training the associate to be focused and innovative. Following the tenure in the program, the associate will exit into a final role in an R&D IT department of interest based on past performance, technical experience and the needs of the Qualifications
The ITDP target candidates include individuals who have earned BS or
higher-level degrees in Computing Science, Mathematics, Statistics,
Information Management, or Science majors with strong computer
experience or analytical background. Candidates must also demonstrate leadership capabilities, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be extremely motivated. GSK recruits both domestic and international students
