Can someone please verify the authenticity of this hadith for me. Thank you.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
I really doubt the authenticity of this hadees. It sounds fabricated to me.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
can someone translate that into english? :/
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Brailvado hadith..........
Translation..
Hazrat Ayish RA asked teh Prophet SAW to put a Roti in a Tandoor.. Rest of teh Rotis got cooked..but the one he put in didn't get cooked...it remained 'kachi'.......she asked why......the prophet SAW said..."since my hand touched that roti ...it couldn't get affected by fire"
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Thank you all. A friend sms'd it to me. It does not sound authentic to me either.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Do we think that Prophet's hand would've touched Abu Leheb and Abu Jehel at least once in his life time. I am sure cause they were his family. Does that mean that they were saved from the hell fire, no right. So what is roti when humans cannot be guaranteed protection aftre being touched by him

There is a difference between Zaeef and fabricated hadees.
Zaeef hadees is a true hadees but cannot be used to define laws of shariah because of weak sources.
Fabricated one is .. err . just a fabricated one.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
OMG, someone just told me this yesterday. This is one of the hundreds of fabricated hadeeth we hear of on a daily basis. Best to keep to the few authentic sources we have.
One thing to remember is that Prophet Muhammad saw was a human being and should therefore be treated as one without these kinds of strange magical powers. He did not want us to worship him or take him as nauzubillah anything more than a nabi of Allah ta'ala. Yes he had some exceptional qualities and abilities but for the most part, he bled when he was hurt, he felt pain, he cried, he shivered, he felt hungry and had children. Let's use some common sense.

Not all 'sects' like to believe that.......they believe that he had supernatural powers like ilm-ul-ghaib and communication across time and space......but but but......nevermind
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Yes to a certain extent yes, he was different from us in that he was chosen by Allah to spread Islam. But we've been reminded again and again...
That brings me to some naats that are recited at milads...but I don't want to derail this thread.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
I have heard many narrations where the environment protected RasoolAllah (SAW) ... a cloud over his head, trees bowing to him. The stone in his hand talking. The angel that became a hideous monster to protect RasoolAllah (SAW) when I think Abu Jahl or Abu Lahab tried to kill him. And then there are miracles of other prophets ... However I do not understand this particular hadith because it does not fit the same pattern as the other hadith.
The pattern of the other hadith was that those things occurred to protect RasoolAllah (SAW) or provide him comfort. In the case of the roti in the tandoor that would not be the case. Things of miraculous nature didn't occur because he (SAW) touched them rather because they were in contact with him at the time of the miraculous event. The only way the roti therefore would have stayed kachi is if RasoolAllah (SAW) remained touching it throughout its time in the tandoor. That would be an oddity.
Apart from the fact that I have not even heard that one ...
We shouldn't underestimate the graces that have been bestowed to prophets of Allah (SWT) and specifically to 'The Mercy of the Worlds' - RasoolAllah (SAW), he was given many. He (SAW) could see behind his head as his companions could see in front of themselves (RA) ... this may be a hard pill to swallow but it is true.
Because people believe a man has been given miracles it does not mean that he is worshipped by those people. I used to have a very different stance when I came here, but over the years and through learning from the proper sources I have gradually changed my understanding. There are many references of his saliva being used to treat wounds and many other things that I will not depart here in case it is misunderstood. His sweat was sweeter than the best perfume and they used to use it to add notes to their own perfumes. What man can claim his sweat even smells good let alone more fragrant than the best musk?
There is a "footprint" of the prophet (SAW) encased as well I'm sure people have seen it. The story behind that is the ground went soft for the prophet Muhammad (SAW) when he walked on it. This also makes sense because it suits the criteria that the environment adjusted its own nature to protect and provide comfort to RasoolAllah (SAW).
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Yes I agree to what you say brother Psyah, but I've seen enough of the worshipping acts to hope that we use our common sense when deciphering the types of statements and/or hadeeth that arouse the negative passions in us humans.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Peace Niksik ... I hope I achieved that end in my previous post. I did disagree with the hadith on two grounds:
a) Never heard it before (but that would an arrogant claim from me to say that is the only reason because really I know my knowledge on hadith is limited)
b) It doesn't seem to fit the pattern of other hadith that relate miraculous signs. Also miracles happened to promote Islam and provide authentication to the claim of prophethood alongside the other reasons above.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
haha. Super barelvi hadith. The kind you'd likely hear in a barelvi khutba.
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
I have no comment on the hadith because I have never heard it therefore don't know if it is authentic. But Prophet (s.a.w) was a human, yes he was special, yes he was the greatest man but he could not do anything magical (i.e not be touched by fire) if that was the case then he would never be tired or hungry or feel hot or pain.
Niksik - I know exactly what you mean about naat's that say crazy things, I heard on recently saying something along the lines of "i dont want to go to jannah because jannah doesn't have madinah" like WHATT
Re: Need verification on authenticity of hadith
Peace Prelude,
The above hadith is not authenticate. I couldn’t find any narration from Hazrat Aisha :RA: . However, here i quote one hadith about ‘burning in fire’.
**Book ‘Wills and Testaments (Wasaayaa)’ of Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 16 **
**Narrated Abu Huraira: When Allah revealed the Verse: “Warn your nearest kinsmen,” Allah’s Apostle
got up and said, “O people of Quraish (or said similar words)! Buy (i.e. save) yourselves (from the Hellfire) as I cannot save you from Allah’s Punishment; O Bani Abd Manaf! I cannot save you from Allah’s Punishment, O Safiya, the Aunt of Allah’s Apostle! I cannot save you from Allah’s Punishment; O Fatima bint Muhammad! Ask me anything from my wealth, but I cannot save you from Allah’s Punishment.” **
