First baby: had c section. Went through full labour and it was back labour. Drs tried vacums and after hours of pushing she was stuck so had c section.
Now I am 35 pregnant bt already having severe back pain. Midwife said its due to position of baby. I have feelings its going to be back labour again.
I planned for normal birth bt severe pain in my back is changing my mind. Wats point of having to go through all pains wen I will end up with c section again. And back pain is scaring me.
Any one who had back labour or experienced similar thing. Dnt know wat to do. Vbac or go for c section.
Drs asked me if I wanted csection or nt. I chose vbac bt now these contraction like pains are happening even though I m week 35. I contacted midwives andthey told me its due to position of baby. So im confused as if I made correct decision or nt.
I was in back labor for 36 hours, VERY intense, at one point my husband was rubbing my back and during a contraction he felt like I broke my tailbone.. he felt it so bad! I ended up with an emergency c section because I was fully dilated but baby wasnt moving down and his heart beat was dipping (3 times in 10 secs so they wanted to take him out ASAP) my baby’s position was sunny side up and he was applying pressure on my back since the 20 weeks pregnancy.. I had an herniated disc and severe pain due to that!
long story short, if i am pregnant again, I will choose c section.. as much as I would prefer vbac for all the reasons its better in theory..but I dont want to go through 36 hours of labor and then the potential of csection recovery.. its a major surgery but then who said having kids was easy anyway!
check with your doc for the best advice since I only shared my personal opinion.. most of the women dont agree with me.
Mayb i am really stupid and mayb i should ask the question in a new topic… but it cant do ny harm to ask here right
What s back labor?? I mean what is the difference with a normal labor and with a back labor?..
And why would ine chose a normal delivery above c section? (I mean normal delivery gives u a lot of pain and tears right?)
Sorry for the stupid questions… but with my first 2 (maa sha Allah) commin up… i was tryin ti find some info
Hehe sweet lady…back labor s exactly what it sounds like pain in lower back! My back was hurting right where the tailbone ends and I had no relief in between contractions! It’s like I was constantly in labor! But as soon as I got the epidural, it ended so yes there is a relief out there!
Normal is better because you are up an about soon after delivering your baby.. Apparently once the baby is out, there is no more pain ( I don’t believe it but its not like I have pushed anything out anyway so what do I know) with c section, first few days are horrible, recovery can be painful and not to mention long! Fr me personally, first couple of days, just getting in and out of hospital bed required help from 3 people and took about 10 mins!
Last but not least, they dont put the baby on your chest after c section but literally snatch them away, dean, check, weigh, wrap and then show them to you. I was holding my baby when they brought me out if OR but do I remember any of it? No! I was high on meds!
I went through whole labour without any pain killers. I had severe back pain bt was told its not labour. Pain was so severe hubby and mum rubbed back. Eventually dr checked and said I was 8.5 diulated so couldnt have epidural. Bt took 8 more hours to have c section. Pushed for hours and drs used vaccum as well. I was sad due to suffering and still ended up c section.
Recovery wasnt bad.
I dnt really want c section as my daughter goes to school and dnt have time for recovery.
