Need Urgent help with MS Word's Border Feature

I’ve got my work term report due tomorrow and I’ve been trying to get the borders (around the page) to work.

The borders at first (in print preview) appear alright, however, as soon as I try to print out the report, I get a message saying that one of my page’s borders is out of the print area or something like that.

I’ve tried pretty much everything, but I can’t seem to get it to work.

I’ve attached below the image of how it appears in PRINT PREVIEW.

Any assistance to fix this problem would be much appreciated.

Try changing margins and see if that works.

Which margins and how?

I've pretty much tried everything, but nothing seems to be working.

Click on the File menu and Page Properties, and change th margins to a higher value, specially for the bottom.

For me its coming up ok. I have word 2003. Can't think of why it would be doing that to you. Do you have the proper paper size selected?
If you really can't get this thing done send me the document and I'll pdf it for you and then you can print it.

Tofi, it was coming out fine for me too. Try printing one of the pages and then tell me because that is exactly where I run into trouble.

I have to press the PRINT command in order to learn that the borders don't fit.

step 1 : set the margins from page setup {top = bottom = left = right = 0.5''}

step 2 : Format-> border and shading

step 3 : select Pageborder tab

step 4 : go to Options

step 5 : and in the Measure From (combo box) select TExt...

it will keep the border in ...

i will say a pure jugar...

bilal, couldn't find Option 3, so couldn't follow the rest.

Thanks, however, I ended up converting the document to PDF in order to have it printed properly. It worked, alhamdulillah.

I'm still gonna try and learn it, so that I won't be running into such problems in the future.

Sadiyah, did you try finding updated drivers for your printer. That might resolve the issue.

On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading.
Click the Page Border tab, and then click Options.
In the Measure from list, click Text, and then click OK twice.

In MS Word select File - Print
In the Zoom area set scale paper size from "no scaling" to "letter" or "legal" or whatever your paper size is

Sh3rY ], I did try the 2nd set of instructions, but it still wouldn't work. I guess I'm going to have to get an update for my printer. That could be the problem.
