Hey all…
So i have some weddings coming up and dunno wt to buy to wear…wts the current trend in pakistani clothing?
can u please tell are anarkali frocks and A line frocks still in fashion..i just love them.. loved few designs on net.. so tell me are frocks still in fashion in pk…?
ALso please suggest some gud ideas or designs for mehndi function dress…( A line shirt, frock , sharara or what) ?
Need ur help urgently coz have to order the clothes soon…
A-line shirts and traditional anarkalis are still in for now, but flared bell-sleeves are hopelessly out of style. Stick to fitted full sleeves or churidaar sleeves. Capris, aizars and loose pants have also given way to churidaar pyjamas.
The trend is getting shorter and shorter though. If you need clothes to wear right now, keep the shirts long. If you need them for a couple of months later, just you wait and see - after Fashion Week it's going to be all about frock-style above the knee kameezes with churdaar pyjamas!

By frock style kameez you mean A-line or completely stitched from sides like frock? what about pants or what if don't wanna get all chooridaars but something in fashion?
When do you think this fashion is going to come to the west (shorter A-line frock)? Im going to Pakistan to do my wedding shopping in January InshAllah, but I want to make sure to bring back whats going to be in fashion for at least a year, because I dont know when I will be able to go back again.
most of what I've seen frm Pakistan lately is still longgg A-line shirts with ajaar (really wide leg pants). sleeveless is pretty big too. long shirts are still ruling bridal wear too.

same here they are sooooo ugly n i love long shirts, hope they don't go out of fashion soon.
my in laws are in Pakistan right now, and are visiting designers for my clothes. They said all the designers are still saying that long kameez's are going to stay in fashion for a while. I really dont like shorter A-Line kameez....it looks weird!
And honestly, Pakistani fashion takes at least a year to reach Canada/US, so I wouldnt be too worried about the fashion changing really fast.
I agree! These are called "Masakali". Its an Indian fashion and some people in pakistan are also wearing it. However, the long A line shirts with the wide legged pants (Memoni pajamas) are still in.
Thanx a looot for all ur help...i have ordered one design ...bt still the mehndi dress is a huge dilemma....thinking bout a lehnga , may be sharara or wt ...cnt figure out.. :(
