Is it Agriculture land? Residential Plot? House? I will not recommend selling it online, but if u provide what kind of property is it, I may be able to help you a bit (just a bit).

^ It is agriculture land. If my memory serves me right, it's 200 kanals(?). I can find out for sure. I don't know how much that would be in square feet or acres, heck I don't even know what KANAL means. Anyhow, we just want to sell it to anybody who is willing to buy it all. It's just sitting there and we need the money.

Agriculture land means, Patwari & Tehseel work is there, loads of desi style paper work. You must go to Pakistan (I mean ur brother/husband/ father etc) with all the papers, get some local guy there to help (friend / relative). Selling agriculture land is very tricky, physical presence there is a must.

The land is registered and all the paperwork is done. We had a buyer, but he had us waiting for four months and was making random excuses. We were waiting on the payment and just then he backed out and said the deal was off. There was nothing we could do and here I am asking for help. Anyway, we need a buyer and that's it. The land belongs to my fiance and he is overthere right now.
P.S. We even have a lawyer.

Usually agri land is on litigation in Pak... and there is qabza factor too.. control of land is important.. I know the area and was in Vehari few days back.. but as ur hubby is there there should not be any prob.. if u have the exacy location, other details.. i can guide u about prosprctive buyers.. what is ur asking price..

I have heard about Vahari. I even have a few people from our area (Mirpur) living there....they have a lot of land there as well...but unfortunately I am not in contact with them. Its probably best to sell agricultural land to a local person, as it market will be somewhat limited. I cannot imagine too many people from other areas and countries wanting to buy there. You can approach some local agents to help you find a buyer.
If it was around Lahore or Islambad then I may have been in marketplace for such land.

Ms Noland, wish I could help you but with the little information you have given, no one will touch that piece because of a lot of factors.
The only person who may be interested will be a local who knows your family as well. If I were to invest in it, I first need to know the area, then make all the checks that the land actually belongs to the person who is selling it and that there are no other claims or litigation involved. As you mentioned, it is inherited piece of property, which makes it very tricky.
I know a few people who may be interested only if they are making a killing on it and know that the potential rewards will justify the risks. The biggest risk factor is obviously your not being in Pakistan, so if you or your fiance turn out to be a fraud there is no way to catch you and take you to courts.
200 kanals is 25 acres. A decent piece if I had other land in the area. If I dont then I will never move there for such a small piece. Additionally one has to know what other resources are available on your piece of land. How much water is available and what can I grow. Remember I cannot grow what I want, but only what I can sell.
How long has the land been lying there abandoned? If it has been untended for even five years and it is prime agri area, you can bet that there are some people already on it. Although all of this can be taken care of it still requires money and resources and a lot of local contacts.
Like I mentioned above, unless there is an interested party out there who is from the same area and knows your family personally, no one will hand you over the money in 2 months.
