I have seen many monuments, mosques in India. Majority of them were constructed over the debrises of some or other Hindu worship places.
But the three place which Hindu organisations are demanding have attracted me the most.
I could not understand what was the need to build Mosques at the mostly sacred centres of Hindu religion, Ayodhya-Babri Mosques at Rama birth place, Mathura-Aurangzeb Mosque at Karishna birth place and Varanasi-Aurangzeb Mosque at Shiva temple.
I have often read that Islam does not allow destruction of temples of other communities and offering namaz at disputed places.
If it was a mistake of some Islamic dictators, why Muslims today cannot voluntrily correct this un-Islamic mistake and offer these three places to Hindus.
It's probably because most Indian Muslims are now emotionally attached to these mosques and do not want to see them destructed. I don't think there is a huge initiative amongst the muslim community to remove anti-islamic acts anyway. From what I understand/know/hear, most muslims in India drink, smoke or do something or the other which is against the basic guidelines of orthodox Islam.

You forget two Muslim structures Which hindu claim as orignally theirs
after standing for over a thousand years.... no, i dont think so....
its insane to ask something to be undone after such a long time....
How about tit-for-tat? From the examples of Mahmood of Ghaznee and his ragime, I wouldn't be surprised that mosques were built over ruins on temples... Alas, hasn't this happened for the temple of Solomon as well or do you think that's a myth too?
First of all I need to know if Muslims today accept that some un-Islamic crimes were committed by Muslim rulers.
And why Muslims today anywhere in the world are so committed to these historical wrong doings?
One can visit these three cities....Mathura, Varanasi and Ayodhya.
In these cities one can easily find Sikh Gurudwaras, Catholic Churches and these worship places are not constructed at some or other disturbing locations.
And the Mosques are constructed in the entire centre of Hindu beliefs.

Perhaps they say that to Hindus for fear of being labeled 'orthodox' and discriminated against?
Mr Jinnah may well have been right about his TNT...

Tell me with a straight face that you cannot understand the reason for this.

What can be the excuses for these blunders?
First of all we need to know what is the evidence that these mosques were built on temples?
From what i know the claims of Babri mosque built on temple is dubious.
The reality is that you people hate anything that has got anything to do with Muslims. You think its a reminiscence of occupyers. Now try to get out of this mentality and live in peace.

I wonder if Muslims can recognize any past or present mistakes.
I wonder if Muslims can recognize any past or present mistakes.
You are talking with Muslims in Pakistan....how can outsiders recognize, when Muslim leaders in our own India are not ready to recognize?
Pseudo-secular attitude of our governments have never allowed to find a just solution. Anything against Hindus and their belief is considered as a proof for secularism...this is the reason Nationalists and BJP became popular in such a short time?
Ayodhya and Mathura are the birthplaces in Hindu belief....Can you imagine a Church or Synagogue or Temple in the heart of Mecca??
Indian Muslims know the things in their heart but politicians NOT.
No I know that for sure Indian Muslims on average (all kinds everywhere ofcourse) are less orthodox and more secular.
We're less orthodox in the sense that we have a definite flavour of Islam that purists consider innovative...e.g. Quran Khanis, Milad, affinity to Sufi practices etc.
As for being any more or less devout...you're off your rocker.
in reference to SHYAN postings....remember that most of the mosques stuructures built in INDIA were built by the Moghuls, who themselves were not quite following the ISLAM as prescribed. So may be a possiblity it was not done the fair way. and Allah knows best !
