Ok i am not the only one in this situation, phew!!
Father of bhoots: like M_M said, its ok if you dont feel too attached towards your fiancee. But it sure is a nice feeling, when you are on top of the world and what now. I sure am enjoying it and not really complaining about it but not being able to concentrate on the rest of my life.

Hmmm.. I think thats a bit rash. Ofcourse, one can be totally in love with another person and still get a lot done in their academic or professional lives. The trick is to be motivated and focus on the task(s) at hand, rather then be distracted all the time. Compartmentalizing your mind is a great virtue that helps you be more successful in life.

Having said that, when you are with your significant other, atleast try to be attentive and focus on her. Don’t bore her by being distracted with all the hundred things going on in your life. Thats true multi-tasking.

I did not intend to a rash with what I said Faisal bhai but I agree 100% with you ( i mostly do anyways). The problem is I cannot FOCUS. I have had a lot go wrong in the past few years I guess and this is one of the first happy things/events happen. So I am very distracted. Maybe its the newness of it all, and will wear off. Although honestly the feeling to be happy all the time feels so good that I dont want it to wear off

^^^ i would say leave everything for the last time and enjoy the moment…once you reach near the deadline you will realize how much time you wasted and then you wil be apble to duble your concentration…i think thats what i do all the time..does not matter how early i start i can only study good close to the deadline… but then again it works for me and might not be good for you.

NOTHING.. seriously, I dun think if I actually stop thinking about him.. hehe.. I hate weekends because I get all depress n upset for not being together and everything but then during the week days, studies, work, and freinds keep me busy, BUT, I think about him all the time whether its something he said, wrote or just my plain observation!

come on yar Enjoy this feeling and also dun forget to express these feelings to him… it just increases the love n strengthens the bond.

very true! You kind of learn to co-exist - I mean thinking about him and carrying on w/ your work. In your case Ira, since it is so “new” still you are thinking you will never be able to concentrate on anything else but you eventually learn to ‘prioritize’ so to speak.

i sooo know what you mean…i got married but havent moved in with my hubb yet! i got married in december and since then i have fallen quite behind on my work! and im in my final year at uni…its so hard to concentrate…when im really reallly missing him and cant concentrate in the library i get my mobile out and start reading all the text messages he sent me or i start thinking about where we went and what we did or il sit there just thinking about the way he looks at me or what he says and i cant seem to stop smiling… he’s had to go abroad for awhile so i miss him even more and find it hard to think about anything else but him! sometimes i think i just want to pack it in and move in with him! but then i think about myu graduation and all the things i want to do in my life…i think im in love

Gemini and sadzz, I am glad someone understands what I am going through. I have given this a lot of thought in the past couple of days and I am slowly and painfully forcing myself to become my old self, (well somewat :D) and paying attention to things in life again.

Devoted2Allah; your hubby is absolutely right I think. We did not realise how much we had really liked each other's company after we were seperated :) And this made us realise, we really do like each other!
