A friend of mine is applying for an internship in a Healthcare Agency’s Accounting Dept. Any tips/guidelines/checklists/preperation help/suggestions/warnings/comments/anything?

What position is he applying for? Any experience?
If this is just a first time internship, then most likely he will be doing menial stuff. Should give them a good feeling that he is enthusiastic, reasonably knowledgable about accounting concepts, has regard for the company and the opportunity etc.
Its hard to give more advice based on very limited information you have provided.
