The story is based on a family headed by Amma Jan (Tamanna) who has three daughters: Salma (Uzma Gillani), Seema (Shariqa Fatima) and Samana (Maria Wasti). Salma runs a beauty parlour and lives along with her husband Abbassi (Najeebullah Anjum) with her mother. Seema is a tomboy whose interests include music and working for an NGO. Samana is studying in a medical college in another city.
Saud (Azeem Sajjad) comes from Norway and has a gypsy style of living. He immediately wins over Amma jan who allows him to live in their anexcy on rent. Also Seema recognizes him as a singer and takes him over to her company where they decide to record his album. Only Salma does not like Saud and tries to get rid of him as she feels that Seema is getting interested in Saud. This is the same problem for Seema’s boss Salman (Shabbir Jan), who too loves Seema but is unable to express his feelings as he is still haunted by the death of his wife and daughter.
Samana returns home after completing her studies and takes an instant dislike to Saud. An accident leaves Seema burnt, Saud takes care of her, and even goes and gets her marriage arranged to Salman.
Saud takes under his wing a young singer Aiman (Zeb Chaudhry) who too had been disturbed by her mother’s death and had stopped singing. Now with his encouragement she starts singings again and feels greatly indebted to Saud. Samana in the mean time starts falling in love with Saud and feels jealous of Aiman. She does not want to accept defeat and gladly accepts her class fellow Mudassar’s proposal.
Who is Saud and why has he come to their house? Why is Saud in search of “Thori Si Zindagi” remains a mystery and when this secret is revealed, what will be the feelings of the whole family toward Saud?
A good story and good direction. The play is interesting to watch. A pleasant change from the glamorous/vadera Plays. However it could have been a bit fast paced, but here the fwd button comes in handy. -by Gina
