The playback singer's real name is Faruk Mahfuz Anam from Bangladesh who uses the pseudonym 'James'.My favorite song is 'Ya Ali' sung by Zubeen who hails from Hyderabad, India.Brilliant lyrics by Sayeed Quadri who hails from Mumbai.He scored lyrics for "Murder" and "Jism" among many other notable films.

I happened to visit the Gupshup site yesterday and came across your queries regarding who the singer of Bheegi Bheegi is. I could not but register myself into Gupshup (although I have long ago passed the youth that you are all enjoying now) to just let you all know about who the fellow is.
Yes, his name is James. He is a Bangladeshi living in Dhaka. He is one of the two topmost Bangla Rock Singers of Bangladesh. The other is Ayub Bachchu. James' band's name is Nagarbaul (or the Urban Street Singer to be more precise). And the name of Bachchu's band is LRB.
I called him up this afternoon and passed the message of your liking his song. He has requested me to convey his deep appreciation and thanks to you.
I was in Mumbai last week. And there too the youths were simply swept away by this song.
Incidentally, the tune of this song was taken from a very popular Bangla song of Kolkata.
