I want to know how christians in Pakistan celeberate their weddings?
Does someone have any idea?

Hmmmm.....would this question be better placed in the Culture section or can it be answered here?

Moderator....please help out.

Yes, it's a culture issue and has to be addressed in an appropriate forum.

ha, what a marvelous piece of commanding tone in the expression ‘has to be’

Dear Uzz. I have been to a few Christian Weddings in Pakistan. After the Church ceremony, the rest of the stuff is pretty much same as any Pakistani Wedding. If, for example, the Christian are of Punjabi ethnicity, their celebrations are very Punjabi in essence. Same concept of Barrat, Walima, etc.

In terms of getting a Marriage registered, non-Muslims minorities in Pakistan are registered in the Registry and recorded as lawfully married. The only restriction is that a Christian (male) in Pakistan may only marry another Christian or a non-Muslim. Pakistani registries do not register Christian-Muslim marriages.

If you want to learn more about wedding customs, please let us know. Some of the stuff dealing with Customs and rituals have been discussed in Family section.

And Please Register yourself here at Gupshup before Registering to get married. Unlike getting married in Pakistan, the Registration at Gupshup is absolutely free and there are no strings attached.
