..why does it has to wear shalwar-kameez to capture a height and not its own uniform.

Because they can wear anthing and still capture the mountains :)

I wonder what does a brave Indian soldier wears these days. Still waiting for that 'Decisive Battle' :)

Oh yes, they wore the khaki colored shalwar-qameez :hehe: cos they were not brave enuff. But tell me something, does wearing a shalwar-qameez make u less brave as opposed to wearing the uniform?. Bravery is in ur hearts - i guess thats something indian soldiers dont have

I don’t know how to tackle your kind of ignorance. WHen did I say wearing shalwar kameez makes one less brave. It is when you try to hide your identity (of being an army personnel) and pose as amateur mujahideen in order to hide from the world your deeds as a country. The same thing happens in Kashmir, Pakistanis (regulars in some cases) wear shalwar-kameez, mingle with civilians, and then attack and run, and in the end call themselves brave and indian soldiers cowards. These braves are now painted as terrorits and even your government doesn’t have the balls to admit its involvement.

Its called selective reading, do you want me to quote from the same article, how brave soldiers yours are and how bravely they were trying to hide their identities as being soldiers.

**And yah, yew guys wont forget this  **

These things r not to be forgotten unlike Pakistan which forgot to take back Siachen and Bangladesh.

Indeed :)

George Fernandez, the aluminium coffins and the body bags will always be a reminder to the brave Indian soldiers :)

Apologies, I once again forget, how many body bags and aluminium coffins were ordered by George Fernandez ? Can someone remind me :)

It is not what they wore, it is that they tried their best to hide their identities and still do not admit.

I wonder what does a brave Indian soldier wears these days.

All soldiers wear their uniforms, except of course some countries that prefers to hide and distribute shalwar kameez to disguise and then slapped all over by world for doing so.

Braves die and get recognition. Cowards in disguise die and don't even get a proper burial and had to be buried by claimed enemies. What a sorry state of affairs, pak army is in.

Never mind, it was 500,000.

5abi, You chose to cut and paste only a line that inflates your morale, from in between a para. Here is full para, read again :-

Some pak officers talk of the futility and danger of a war that their government denies they are taking part in. There is also the hint of a divide between the men at the front and the government. "None of us wants war with India," says one officer. "It is very damaging for Pakistan's economy, and we feel it will be difficult to sustain." A soldier adds: "The capture of these mountains has given us extra advantage, but I doubt that the Indians will forget this."

*Not many of the men expect to come down from the mountains alive. At base camp in Skardu, 150 km from the frontline, phone-booth attendant Yawar Shah says the men weep when they call home to bid good-bye to their families. "You can see them crying in the cubicles," he says. "It is very sad." *

See the bold item is what you chose not to print and the rest you reproduced. See the full picture and then decide.

After taking into account the hammering India took from shalwar wearing Mujahideens, and the rising cost of aluminium coffins, the Muslim burning leadership of India had to re-evaluate its tactics and call off the 'Decisive Battle' as promised by Vajpayee.

Good Ol' India, the land of 'Self-Proclaimed Greatness Syndrome' :)

Read on what else the article says about bravery of Pakistan establishment (govt. and soldiers)
Islamabad insists that the soldiers on the Indian ridges are Islamic mujahedin, or holy warriors, fighting for the freedom of Kashmir. That was the alibi Pakistan used for its military advance. Men from the Northern Light Infantry Regiment and later the Khyber Rifles were used because of their high-altitude experience and because they are from the region. They were encouraged to look like mujahedin, and they discarded their uniforms for traditional shalwar kameez, or tracksuits, grew beards and wore traditional white religious skullcaps

LOL! 3 posts in a row. Did our posts hit a nerve there? :D Relax dhir, its just a forum. We are not trying to prove or justify anything.
Re-read what ur post was and then re-read what i replied. It dont take a genius. I wont waste any more bandwidth over yew :D

2b, you r again being mischeiveous, still insisting them to be shalwar wearing mujahideens, read my post just prior to this one and again understand why I say u r not brave enough to admit.

Talking about brave, where is that illusive ‘Decisive Battle’? Is the cost of aluminium coffins stopping the Indian invasion into Pakistani territory? :)

**If a plane is knocked down during war, how does it amounts to loss of face. Now go read the time article's link and see why it was difficult for pak army to accept its involvement. The link also gives a photograph of paki army personnels hiding in bunkers. Have you read how they use to cry when calling home knowing fully well that they have entered a one-way road to heaven (as promised).

Man, you ducked my question again ;)

Actually There isn't enough space left in Jammu and Rajsthan to bury any more dead Paki soldier because pak govt keeps refusing their bodies.

Mos plz close this thread now to further posts-its boring as hell-and no one is going to admit a loss.

Kargil was ............
