ummm...no thats not true. mA se i have a great supply and i have been wearing bras since day one. Secondly u will need to wear a bra to be able to use leaking pads (nursing pads.) for the first week or so i used a sports nursing bras and also got a night time nursing bra as well. Both were great. BUt i cant wear the night bra anymore, because i need more support now :) U have to wear good supporting bras.
Also dont get tooo many bras right away, as ur size will change. Mine stayed the same for the first two month and then jumped a size.
My baby didn't latch on, so i got a pump the day i returned for the hospital. I love it! I have been pumping since thn and its been 4 months now.
Yesterday someone was telling me that u dont wear a bra atleast for forty days or else ur milk supply would b lessened and even after 40days u wear a very loose bra..is this true:/
And do i need to buy a pump ? For what reasons exactly?
Yeahh..... whoever told you it would interfere with the supply is a moron. your supply is what it is, mostly. you can use medication/herbs/food to try to increase it if there are issues but you don't have to worry about that now before you've even had your baby and know what your supply is! like rabia said, a good bra is a must.
and if you plan to go back to work (if working) you will need to pump while on maternity leave and then at work.. I have used my pump while I had mastitis and baby was refusing to latch on, while I was away from baby for medical reasons, and last but not least we wanted him to start the bottle asap so I pumped and his dad would feed him! (It was an excellent bonding thing for them)
pump is one of the best investments I ever made for the baby!!!
