Does anyone know any shops in Mississauga or Toronto that sells Shisha flavours, looking for Al-Fakher or Starbuzz flavours. For some reason I think I am not posting it in a right place. Please let me know if you can.
And if required move it to the right place mods. Thanks!
Re: Need Shisha Info Torontonians or Mississaugians - No flooders plz
Al Fakher is hard to find cheaply. Eglinton+Chase (Sauga) has a store called Mona Fine foods, large(er) pack last time (last year) i bought was around 37plus tax..
"RABBA" food stores carry Nakhla (Egyptian version) price varies from $15 to 18, but they dont sell it publicly . (I dunno why, its a tobacco product)
Hurontario/Dundas (1 block north of Dundas) opposite to T.L.Kennedy School is "ALADDIN" Restaurant, they sell non-tobacco herbal/natural flavours for $15 for a large, really fruity flavours and not everyone likes it.
Hurontario/Dundas (at the intersection) is NADER ROTI SHOP. their stock varies from Nakhla to AlFakher, not sure about prices, last time they were selling it about $25 for a large. Amazing value on their "THREE KINGS" coal though. $13.99 for a case of 100 (10x10) in Brampton its like $1.75 to 2.00 for a roll (10x1)
if u have any resources, share'em here.. im looking for "STARLIGHT" coal .. its disappearing from brampton and its the least-mess coal

oo thanks for the info! i was going to ask that :D know of any place else where they sell tobacco-less flavors?
Re: Need Shisha Info Torontonians or Mississaugians - No flooders plz
probably... but look into factors of: availability, variety, and BIGGEST one of all: price (quality aint a factor, considering u're looking at price). aladdin publicly sells u (regardless of being brown/non-arabic) large pack for $15, its available, they're open till 4am, and driving there makes up for it in price..
[testing purposes] i've bought herbal ones from ebay last night, coming from across border, lets see how canadian immigration treats it (duties and import crap) i will post findings here..
Re: Need Shisha Info Torontonians or Mississaugians - No flooders plz
i don’t want a huge pack, just a few doses (err i dunno wat the word is ) so price shouldn’t be too much of a hassle..i hope. as for availability i wish i knew where this stuff is sold, elsewhere of arabic stores. i would look for it here, but i think they sell tobacco stuff only. hmmm…
All you will get here is Nakhla but then cow dung is more aromatic than that. There is a rabba in brampton on Queen and Bramalea that sells for reasonable prices (nothing too fantastic).
Cross border shipping is complicated with tobacco. Legally you're only allowed to import 200 grams of manufactured tobacco per person free of charge. Anything over that costs $$$
[QUOTE]
Free to Import: (Tobacco)
-200 cigarettes;
-50 cigars or cigarillos;
** -200 grams (7 ounces) of manufactured tobacco; and**
-200 tobacco sticks.
You may bring in additional quantities but you will have to pay full duty and taxes on the excess amount. If you plan a side trip abroad during your visit, you must be out of Canada for at least 48 hours to be eligible to claim these entitlements again.

Driving it across the border is much less of a pain. In my experience the customs officers are really only bothered about people bring in cartons of cigarettes.

There is a Hasty Market near SQ1, opposite of YMCA and on the opposite corner of the Central Library’s front entrance. It is owned by Iraqis, open 24/7, and they sell authentic, genuine Al-Fakhar shisha but they only carry a handful of flavours at a time. Last week I bought from them AF 250g shisha tobacco, flavours: Plums, Pineapple, and Grape & Mint. The cost for 250g used to be ~$23 but the supplier raised it and now its $30 I think. From them I’ve also bought Guava, Apricot, Peach, and Coca Cola (the rarest one). Its probably the best place to buy shisha from in the GTA.
On Hurontario & Fairview is a Palestinian supermarket named Al-Quds/Jerusalem who sell Al-Fakhar but only (the sweet) Grape flavor. Last time I shopped there was over a year ago. Mona Fine Foods on Eglinton & The Chase also sells some Al-Fakhar but more expensive I think.
If you really want a specific flavor, just order online from their website. They use gift wraps so no issues at customs nor any duty has to be paid. http://www.alfakher-online.com/?q=en

It is just so very hard to digest $30 for 250g when you can get a 2 kg tin of Nakhla for $18 in the states. The same 250g Al Fakher costs $6.
Might as well buy from Pakistan then where you can get AF250g for like 2 bucks. I wouldn't drive to the States just to save a few bucks. This hasty place is convenient and often carry rare & uncommon flavors. Nakhla is just garbage - I wouldn't smoke it even if it was free.
