Take big size karelay. silt them, remove the core and rub salt on them. then let them rest aside for an hour or two. Meanwhile, boil chana dal which must have been soaked for at least 2 hours. This way your dal will be done in 20 minutes without pressure cooker. Now add salt, red chili. zeera, chopped green chili and green coriander, chopped onion and tomatoes and mix. Now squeeze the karele dry. Fill them up with the filling and wrap them with a thread. Now fry them until they are golden. Now put them in a karahi, add oil sliced tomatoes and onions, red chili and salt. Mix well and cook on low heat until the unions are soft and the oil separates.
Remeber to keep the salt low. Don't add water and don't cover.

take small size karelay and slice them moderately thin. you can pit them or not depending on preference.
deep fry till golden. remove from oil and let sit on blotting paper.
take two medium onions sliced thinly and two medium tomatoes chopped and preferred quantity of green chili chopped.
fry onions till transparent in least quantity of oil (i.e. a tablespoon or two of oil)
add tomatoes and green chili, 1/4 tsp of ground zeera and 1/2 tsp of whole saunf
fry all ingredients until oil separates.
add previously fried karelay and mix well.
fry for another 5 minutes and you're done!

Karelay without meat or something?:confused:

soak chana daal
boil chana daal
meanwhile fry the sliced karela till golden
add 2 onions, 2 tomatoes, garam masala, haldi, lal mirch, chat masala or anar dana(grinded), salt and haldi
cook for about 10 mins
add daal and cook for further 5 mins
