So I work for a Big4 accounting company and I have an offer from industry with a pay raise of almost 85 percent. I dont know what to do as I kinda suck for this Big4 name in my resume. Any advice from finance related ppl is greatly appreciated..

I would not think twice before accepting an 85 percent increase in my salary. You already have earned the honor to work for Big4 and nobody can challenge you on that one , once you put it in your resume.

I forgot to add another detail.. i m plannig to move to aussie in 6-8 months time..do you think it will be of any help for impression-sake in the aussie job market if I come directly from a Big4?

^ so you're only going to accept this new higher paying job for the 6 - 8 month interim ?
if so, then I wouldn't suggest the move... when you move to Australia and apply for jobs there, your most recent workplace on your résumé is going to be a place you've only worked for a few months, and that might raise some eyebrows. You're also going to need references, and it would help to bring some of these from an employer who is familiar with your work and is favorably disposed to you. I suspect the employer you ditch only after 6 months will not be able to say many good things about you.

as a recruiter i would agree with lucid.... dont do it.... the salary raise is more than attractive but how many times do i see people destabilise their career thru shortsightedness.
i know many of my clients would reject u straight away. get the move abroad sorted before you decide what to do with ur career
