ok I have to ask …
these dresses and others like these are absolutely gorgeous … i could stare at them for minutes on end …
i’m sure they cost a lot to replicate and even more so to buy from a designer … which is fine if one can afford it …
my question is … practically speaking … these are such unforgettable statement pieces … i mean … you can wear it to an event … look fantastic … everyone will go wow and will probably remember it … great … and then what? reuse at some point?
no one worries about spilling salan on it? or kiddie hand prints?/puke/snagging it on the couch? … can one even hold a baby wearing a dress like that? 
I guess i have a hard time imagining your average (non celebrity) lady getting too much use out of it … it just doesnt seem practical unless you are on a red carpet or something … no?
