Need more pictures of this dress if possible.
Re: Need more pictures
Awesome dress
Re: Need more pictures
very nice indeed but it looks as if chiffon has been used and I can't imagine how heavy this might be......how will the chiffon handle all that weight???

Muzna, chiffon is used for the dress for the most part but there are velvet patches (applique) where the heavy embellishments are. Its true if done on chiffon only it won't look as classy.

yes....but the weight of the velvet appliqués and the heavy gem stone embellishment is going to pull on the chiffon and make it drape a little strange no?
Re: Need more pictures
I am making a replica of this dress and I have used silk chiffon instead of regular chiffon for the same reasons.

Not really - not if done in the same patch style. If you notice velvet is around shoulders and sleeves and on hemline motifs etc, at appropriate places where the fabric has the proper support (of the body). Lets see how the replica turns out :)
Re: Need more pictures
can't wait to see proto.....
one more question....apparently there is a fabric that is similar to chiffon that does not "pull", in fact it does not even "catch" on embroidery etc.......is that silk-chiffon?

I have had a better experience with silk chiffon than regular crinkle chiffon which makes the formals disposable dresses and catches kaam badly. But then silk chiffon is expensive compared to crinkle
