I read this book a few years ago…it would come under the “self help” or “motivational” category. It’s a collection of short one page stories with a strong message. I cannot for the life of me remember the author, title, any keywords…I spent 2 hours searching online bookstores but I’m stuck.
It has stories such as prior preparation prevents poor performance…that type of stuff but not exactly that (or maybe)…so one chapter would be all about that quote for instance.
It was such an amazing read, especially if you’re writing a speech. I have to talk to a bunch of women so I really wish I could find that book.
I hope you've found it by now, I understand the frustration. If not then chances are you'll come across it when you no longer need it. Which I realize is of no help whatsoever. Maybe look for something else for your upcoming speech? We could help you find motivational quotes and stuff like that if it'll help?
Niksik, instead of details about the book, do you remember anything about how you came to find the book? If it was from the library, then it should be in your account records. If you got it at a bookstore, do you recall what made you pick it up, if there were many copies then it might have been a bestseller and you could look up bestseller lists for the relevant time period, etc.
Try this link i might help you find the self-help book. Note: there are three pages to search through.

It may be totally not what you are looking for but I have a pdf book written by an Indian Shiv Khera - You can Win. If you want it let us know how I can get it to you.
el topo, a friend had presented it to me, then after I read it, I gave to another friend to read...and now we've lost touch. :(
Oh noes. I'm sorry I'm out of ideas.:(
Though, if you want to hunt down said friend, break into her house ninja style, and rifle through her books, then I can hook you up with the appropriate gear.
Seriously though, good luck with the search.
