need help!!!

hi all,
i have been a silent reader of this forum for a while but never posted anything. i must say this is an excellent forum to find answers of almost everything.
now i wonder if somebody can advice me especially as i know there are many home base designers on this forum would really appreciate their opinion. my wedding is in april 2013. the lehnga i am wearing on barat day is true red shirt pink and purple lehnga and red dupatta similar color to these

for my walima i really liked a dress its a pinkish peach color with silver work on it. but my sisters are saying it look similar to what i am wearing on my wedding day though not the exact shade but still from the same family. i have not been to pakistan or to a pakistani wedding during last 10 years so got no clue.
i would really appreciate if somebody can tell me if its inapropiate to wear similar shades on both days and also what are my options if i want to use another color with peach to break the monotony p.s i am not a fan of sky blue/blue.

Re: need help!!!

Hi
Well the reason brides go for two different colour options which aren't similiar is to give a different look on both days.As makeup-jewelry etc enhances/compliments the look and then the over all effect is the same. I'd advise you to go through desginer bridals, there is alot of variety, blue valima outfits have been left in the 90s. ;) Brides who prefer a traditional colour on the barat go for more of a contemporary palette in the walima.

If you want to go for a peach outfit , y not pair it with a grey, or a mint green.Or a matt whisper golden, with peach accents and silver work could look really lovely too. White, peach and silver is soft and a very elegant combo for valima.
There are lots of options, just use a soft palette for the duppata and lehenega so that will be the tone of ur overall look, making it a different combination from barat day.

Hope this helps.
