But do keep in mind - there are no "must haves" for jehaiz - it's what ever you want for yourself. Don't feel obligated to get anything because everyone else is getting it. And sometimes people buy stuff that doesn't have any use in their new home. Be practical.

wait, by jahaiz, do you guys mean clothes or house stuff or both? Sehrysh is totally right about no such thing as must haves for jahayz.
house stuff wise, my mum got me a lot of basic things like frying pans and a set of dishes and knives and stuff, because she said, "you are used to these things, your mother-in-law might have them, but they won't be like what you used at home, so I don't want you to go there and cry." Lol. Just a word of advice, explain to your mother in law from the beginning that you want to use your own stuff, and is it okay to keep it in the kitchen with her things.
One thing I wish she'd given me but didn't think of...actually two things, towels and bedsheets. Furniture wise, my mamus gave me money to buy a bedroom set. It's what they traditionally give to all their neices, but it wasn't necessary. Just extra. My mother-in-law had already bought a new bed for us anyway. So I kept the money in our savings.
Jehaiz can be a gift to your new family as well. For example, when my ex-husband's uncle got married, his wife's father gave her a beautiful wood dining table with chairs that the whole family uses now. He also gave her a bedroom set for her and her husband. I think it depends on what you can afford.

THANX ALOT SISTERS...yes m goin to stay here in Peshawar for some years n den i will move to london... m gettin bedsheets now a days.. n m plannin to get dinnr set, tea set or some other..! whatelse ur mum bought for u?? m askin this becuz i want to know wht else i will need..
