what date you guys celebrate ur Anniversary My Nikkah was on 6th Dec and barat was on 11th Dec some relatives said people celebrate the date Nikkah some said on Barat day so I’m confused. so help me GS guys.

i will celebrate my baraat day as my anniversary for the world...but i will welcome a gift received on the nikah anniversary :) what we have planned is that our baraat anniversary will be the official one but we will make our nikah anniversary much more special in our own way. both days are equally important and you and i are lucky to have 2 days to celebrate with our husbands

I would say Nikkah... but its so confusing, because obviously barat is when you leave home :(
Maybe make Barat the world day and Nikkah special day LOL i did not help did i!

ill be having two seperate days as well.. Having barat anniversary for the world makes sense and make nikkah anniversary special just for us.

In ur shoes I would celebrate the anniversary on the Nikah date since that is when u got married and that's the most important part out of all the events. I don't see the logic in celebrating ur wedding anniversary on a date other that ur actual nikah date.

hmmmm My brother and I got married at same day but Nikkah date was different and my other bro got married next day and my bhabhis and bros said we all have same Anniversary day. we three got married same week but one day gap which was my walima so I'm confuse which day to celebrate.

My nikkah and wedding reception were around 6 months apart so we celebrate both, but do gifts for each other on the nikkah more than the reception date purely for the practical reason that the reception date is very close to our birthdays!
