i am writing for my one of my dear friends. she’s severly depressed- reason being is because she not married. All our family friends are married/engaged. Because of this her self- esteem is non-existent. She used to be a bubbly person full of life, and now she doesn’t talk to anyone, cries, and just “puts on a smile” at work. she has NO motivation to do anything anymore. before she was one of the most fashionable people in our group, etc. So my question is- is there a special dua or prayer that can be said either after namazes or just as a dua to recite, that is a dua to bring the ONE to her house. Please reply back someone asap.

can anyone recommend any duas... and i will pass them along to her.. psyah thanks soo much for the dua, she been reciting that about at least 100 times i day!

ok...... there is a dua very effective but its about 10 to 15 lines if you say i can scan it and sent it to you.....what you say?
The Quran has the answer to everything, and if is someone is feeling better by praying, and believes in the power of duas then why are you discrediting it? You bring up your point about asthma attack, but yet duas cure the people who are at deaths gates. I am sorry to say this but i don't think your in any position to talk, because a- you don't know the person, and b- your not a psychologist and c- not even sure if your an expert in the religious field. Sorry not all of the worlds problems are cure by "magic pills," sometimes its not pills that do the trick its a dose of spiritual medicine, and sometimes pills makee things worse. And believe since you don't know the person, you don't know what has been going on, and i have. I think because of everything that has been going on.. she needs to pray more, and have faith and due to negative stuff that's been happening.. maybe her faith is shaky. Therefore, unless you have any reglious advice to offer, then please stay out of this.
@psyah took your advice and dragged her out of the office, took a "fashion emergency" to get her to go out to lunch with me, and just listened.. there is more to this ice berg. She even told me herself that with all that's been happening she should be extremely grateful but just feels that there's there one hole in her life.. and then mentioned about all the family friends engaged or married, and how she feels like an outsider to the "exclusive club." On top of that, i totally didn't realize this, but she feels stressed out at the office, and this is because of the increasing responsibility boss keeps putting on her, so we had starbucks, talked about things, and she returned to the office, i got a text saying that she needed that.
@CAorMBA- thank you for backing me up on this, i don't understand why Das Reich is soo anti-Islamic ways.. I mean doesn't the Quran itself spell out not to take things that alter your state of mind? like pills.. i got your email-thank for that. I will see her parents this weekend and will pass on the information..
namaz is good too, if she is willing to do some excercise that will help (it makes you feel better), hope i didnt offend you. inshallah your friend feels better soon
thanks shardmanny.... i believe she has started prayers again.. she stopped because on of her fam members was on their death bed.. LITERALLY.. so she read quran mostly during that time..
thanks for the idea of exercise... ill try to rope into goin to the gym with me.
and no u didn't offend me, i am not offended by anyone, just that people should have respect for each other, and if someone is posting here that means they are looking for religious guidance.
