A girl living in Pakistan is verbally being harassed by her ex-fiance who refuses to let her marry anyone else but him. He is obviously a loser and is threating that he would resort to violence/killing if it comes down it.
Her Aunt, residing in California; USA ,wants to bring her to her house. She is asking around if she can find any rishtas here but is unsure is how to go about doing this the legal way?
Invite the niece on a visit visa when potential rishtas are found?

well thats a very very sad situation indeed and many ignorant men are hanging around in this world with such a corrupt mentality. i wonder if they are mental and need mental treatment from a psychologist but yes visit visa could definitly do it but again if she come back to Pakistan then she could face a threat alongwith her hubby again. so in that case what could she do?

well my opinion is that if he threatens her seriously then her family must get rid of him as soon as possible by going to police station and filing FIR against him.
I like the idea of filing a police report but I think its also a good idea for the gal to head out to her aunt's house.
Visitors visa or student visa would be easiet and maybe the quickest too. She could go take some college classes while in the USA, that would get her out and about a bit, give her something to do until a rishta is found. And I think you can stay here longer on a student visa (not sure about that though).
