Just get one of ur english speaking friends and make him talk to him/her everyday. I am sure this would help him more compare to taking english classes over there
I don't know about him, but I would recommend that you join him when he takes his classes.
Hahahaha....thats exactly what i was thinking! You need to have a look at your grammer and punctuation too. Oh while you are there, why not join word processing classes too. You need to brush up on when to start a new paragraph...

I didnt relise that in this forum you needed to spell every word and sentence correctly, I though it was a place where you can chill and ask any info, information I meant (make sure the grammer is correct).
As you are aware that it is already hard enough for people from the uk to find a job, I was only asking a question to make it easier for my fiance.
So as they say if you dont have anything good to say dont say anything at all.
National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad is clearly the best choice, and its a full English diploma that he should be going for, and I think your time frame of 09 will easily allow him to complete his diploma.

Proper English makes it easier for the eyes to read the posts. People will ignore your posts if they find them hard to read/understand. You can speak in that manner in Cafe where the mjrty spks lyke dat.
Anyway, to answer your question. As other suggested, more practice will help him learn English faster. Classes don't help much, in my opinion. I am sure he knows the basics of English from when he learned English in school. So if you communicate with him in English (whether via e-mails or over the phone), he will pick up English faster. Also, ask him not to feel shy because everyone has an accent, he shouldn't be shy just because he has a little strong accent. It will take him a lot of time to get rid of that because I find it takes longer for guys to get rid of the strong accent. Good luck.
There is Linguahome and British Council in Lahore. Both of these places are good. You need to check if they have any branches in Islamabad. I am sure British council has a branch there.
There should be places running I.E.L.T.S courses, my hubby did one and each class was about 2-3 hours, this course is also available here, is a good course to go on i believe :)
