Re: Need Help with U regarding home office issue

What kind of visa is she on now as you mentioned her visitors visa expired? Has she overstayed?

Have you considered sending her back to pakistan and then applying for a dependants visa instead? If she wants to go to pakistan and she has family there too then why don't you let her go?

well its a long story in simple words i would just say is tht her son wont look after her in pakistan tht is why she is with her but she wana see her son

tht is wot i dont know she have no visa and her passport is in home office for wot i dont know the home office said they not willing to give her the visa than why dont they send her passport with a no so we can send her pakistan

Re: Need Help with U regarding home office issue

actually some1 in home office doing her a favor by not returning the passport. Since case is still in pending, she has a semi-legal status and considering her age, she may get permission to stay on exceptional basis. Hire some other lawyer.

she is staying here for the past 2 an half yr without a visa any chance of her getting her passport?

as I understand, her passport is already with homeoffice? yes you can ask home office to return the passport, but that would mean you are volunteerly withdrawing visa application. Note it, home office has shown some flexibility by not deporting straight away, now you need a good lawyer to cash it. make a case on the grounds of her age, and the fact that your husband is the only caretaker of his mother. Dun hire some green street or east London lawyer, as most of them are dodgy and they will ruin the case.

Re: Need Help with U regarding home office issue

Trust me the Home Office are so slow with this type of thing - no wonder they know EXACTLY how many illegal immigrants they have!

Chances are that if she has overstayed and she has no option but to leave the UK, then they might only hand her Passprot back to her at the airport.

This happened to my husband. There isn't a problem for you to call the Home Office and liaise directly I had to do the same but not because our solicitor was rubbish but because the Home Office had my Passport too and they lost it!

If your solicitor is OISC registered I would consult the OISC as well as you aren't being provided the service you need

PM me if you need anything further - the specifics. As I said, I have personal experience of this and also in my day to day job I deal with the Home Office almost daily!!!

^u welcome:halo:

Hi There

I only know a lil about imgrtn but basically you cant deport anyone straigh away anymore as its against the law.... what the best thing to do is talk to the Home Office and a immigration lawyer (1 that knows what they are doing and is willing to speak to you) Get a letter from your doctors stating your grandmothers illness and also say that no1 is there to look after her in Pak....
There are different types of visa's here which we dont know about, best thing is to ask...... Try and get as much as you can to make the case stronger....

Speak to a good lawyer though.....
