need help with sleep

my little girl is 8 months and masallah she had she been sleeping pretty well only getting up once for mlk but for the past few weeks bedtime has become a nightmare, she will fall asleep fine but wakes up at 1.30 every night screaming, but she is not awake she is asleep. i cant soothe her her back to sleep i offer a bottle which she refuses she just screams and screams and then eventaully will fall asleep in my bed with me. i was looking up online and it says it can be night terrors but isnt she too young for that.
if anyone has experienced this plz can u guide me?

Re: need help with sleep

Maybe it’s some version of separation anxiety, which is usually very prominent at this age.

I think she’s too young for sleep terrors, but here’s some info: Sleep terrors (night terrors) Definition - Diseases and Conditions - Mayo Clinic

Re: need help with sleep

maybe its just a phase and will go away? mine does the same but quite rarely and it franky doesnt fret me. I just soothe her and put her back to sleep considering perhaps she just had a bad dream. she is a year old btw, i didnt read the above article on sleep terror so just not sure if its same as bad dreams but i am tempted to believe they just have them.

Re: need help with sleep

or maybe she is just gassy. sometimes they have eaten something during.the day which doesnt settle well in the stomach hence disturbance in sleep and crying. Another reason could be fatigue. at 8th month a baby crawls a big deal so maybe the poorthing feels achy. do.you.massage her before bed? do.that and see if it helps

Re: need help with sleep

My baby started acting the same around that age. But he’d always go back to sleep if i offered him his bottle or paci.
Is she teething? Teething usually messes with timings :bummer:
