Re: Need help with oven
Erm, I know about the Broil function, its like grill … you know how grilling basically provides very high heat setting , Broil does the same function .. so if you wanna gril meat or vegies , you use this function …
convection is basically the fan assisted oven or Hot air function … mostly casseroles or slow cooking food items are placed on this setting …
I have no clue about the third function thought ![]()

people covered other items ..
rotisserie is when you are roasting something and it is rotating..like those whole rotisserie chickens or a leg of lamb roast etc
Re: Need help with oven
Convection oven like CB said makes the fan run and the point of this is to get even temperature throughout the oven and not just the bottom. This can be used for baked goods such as cakes, cookies and pastries etc. as it will evenly brown all the surfaces. Just keep in mind convection runs at a lower temperature so if you turn on convection at 350F it will automatically run at 325F. I think this is because the heat is getting everywhere evenly and theoretically it equals to 350F bake option.
Re: Need help with oven
In Bake, the bottom burner is on, and in broil, the top burner is on. Baking is used for longer cooking, like cakes, pizzas, etc....Broil setting is for stuff that needs direct heat, for a short period only...perhaps when you are reheating something, or when you have baked something, and just want to brown it a little from the top, you can turn on the broiler.
Rotisserie is where u stick kebabs, or even a whole chicken onto that long sword like thingie, and stick it into the slot provided, so that it rotates while it cooks.
