Hey Guys…rather girls,
I need help in deciding what I can wear to a University dinner which is honoring 25-30 of us. I dont want to wear a pant suit (have worn too much of that recently) ..rather something more feminine like a dress. But!! I have never worn anything like that before (I’m a jeans person) So what do you suggest? Can you post pics or links? Furthermore, legs shouldn’t show, neck shouldn’t be deep, you get the idea…my vague idea is maybe a knee length skirt or dress with black stockings or something like that…tacky? I’m basically clueless. Need help with the color too. Please help!
why not wear a skirt with knee high boots and a solid color top, that sounds right for the occasion? victoria secret has a few skirts that could work with boots bc of the cut and length

also jcrew had this outfit and it seems like something you could work with but it’s a bit over priced but is this something you had in mind?

if so you can find long skirts like that at department stores like macys and dillards in the formal wear separates. also express had one the last time i went into a store.

Re: Need help with outfit (western) for dinner event
a nice shirt-dress is your answer laday! You don't want neck too deep and don't want much skin showing, then find a beautiful shirt dress (designer) and wear that with heels and PH or whatever you like. if you're on the slim side, wear a belt ;)
as far as color, you get them in a variety of colors, just find one which makes you feel good about yourself when you try it on and you can picture yourself wearing it to your event and feelin fab

Adrianna Papell Beaded Chiffon Gown - It is not knee length but I love the colour:

If the dress you find is sleeveless, you can always cover up with a shrug and if it is too short then pair it up with skinny jeans/stockings.
This is kind of like the skirt posted by Sweet_Lil_Hunnie. It looks cute.
