My Hamza is 22 months old, well he gave up formula when he was five months old and lived on mother’s milk… and he eventually gave that up when he was exactly one year old, still we were able to give him formula and cow milk in his food… and two or three glass of milk in a day, now that he has grown up and can tell stories, he have totally rejected the milk, the moment he sees anything white or milk looking thing, he send SOS to his grand ma or start calling me to save him or hide in his HOUSE…
How can i make him like the MILK… he like fruit yogurts, he sometime have chocolate milk ( he likes it) but he never takes that NIDO or any other milk suitable for his age… how to get him drinking milk, tried mixing juices in milk as a result now he don’t like juices either…
any advice and how to say NO to him without feeling guilty, it appeared to me is that it is almost impossible for me to say NO to him when he have that particular stance and now he knows that…
I think you should give him a break from milk. Never force feed him. He's nearly 2 so milk is not that important as solid food for him. My eldest left drinking milk at around 2 n half but started drinking it again at around 5, he still doesn't really like plain milk but drinks it if I tell him to.
like hareem said give him a break from milk. add food in his menu that involves milk like baby cereals they have milk in it. You can feed him oats. Give him fruits and vegetables , chicken !
at 22 months it's more important for him to eat than to drink milk so working on his eating.
No it is not like we are forcing milk on him, it is like he don't like it, he eats with me and often have other things as meals, fruits are there as well and there should be a glass of milk in his meal as well, but he just don't like it... how can i make him like it...
it doesn't have to be milk...any dairy product will replace milk. give him more yogurt, cheese. i'm sure he'll grow out of this dislike for milk as he grows older, iA :)
try strawberry flavor instead of chocolate....
try soya milk... plain or flavored...
make him smoothies at home.... try different frozen fruits all the times.... make it more look like an icecream rather than a drink.....
