Need help with: Letter of Intent!!!

Im in the proccess of applying to different universities and I need help to write a letter of intent.
It would be very helpful if anyone of you could post a link with samples or any other helpful links :slight_smile:

it depends on what you are applying for and what countries you have in mind ... someone on here recently wrote a letter of intent so hopefullyt hey show up in this thread

I only know the UCAS system where you write a 'personal statement' is this similar.
I would suggest you open with why you want to study the course, maybe talk about modules you enjoyed as an undergraduate, then talk about why you want to study at that specific institution. Then talk about your career so far, what have you achieved etc, then I would write about what you hope to gain from the course, the oppotunites the course may give you for further career development etc. then talk about your personal life, like hobbies general personal achievements.

Well, the first step is to look up the program you would like to apply to and see if they want you to talk about anything in particular. They usually tell you what they would like to see in the letter.

Here is what I wrote about in my letter of interests/personal statement. First of all try to link up your interests and the program you are applying to. So pretty much tell them how much you like this field and how that program fits in with your interest/what the program has to offer. Second major component is how your past experience and skills will help you excel in the program. Talk about your professional goals and how completing the program will help you achieve them. Also, your research interests if its a research based program.

I do not recommend talking about personal life, I have not come across any example that goes into that.
