Need help with leg probs

Aoa all,

I just got done with travelling overseas … I was in one plane for 15 hours.. and with an hours break was in a long flight of 5 hours again. This was not how I had it planned but the airlines decided to move their flight …

Now the prob is that I heard from a lot of my preg friends that you will get nas key upar nas char jaana… nerve on nerve thing… that sorta paralyses you in your calf area and this happens a lot in pregnancy…

I never experienced it before but I have had it in both my legs in a span on 15 mins …and one leg still feels the same way… what can I do to not have this feeling… Could it be due to the long flight and alhamdulillah I have no swelling in my feet or legs…

Re: Need help with leg probs

it’s not nas pe nas charhna that happens on long flights. it’s god forbid DVT (deep vein thrombsis) that can happen . pregnant females are more at risk but it can happen to anyone. MOving and walking around with leg exercises are suggested during flights to prevent the blood clotting in the legs and leading to DVT.

what you are having seems to be just because of prolonged sitting and I hope it gets better with rest

proto i was trying to lie down or kept my feet up on my carry on luggage the whole time of the flight... I even fought to get a bulk head seat...and I had flight socks on the whole time inorder to avoid the swelling...swelling I avoided but leg cramps I got...

I'm hoping it gets better but is there something I can do abt it now... post travel...

Re: Need help with leg probs

you must get up when the flight is more stable and the seat belt sign comes off. Take a walk and try and rotate the feet in a circular fashion when sitting down. The blood supply to those areas gets affected during a flight.

Also, go to a doctor and get that checked out. Just to be on the safe side.

Re: Need help with leg probs

I don't think it has to do with the flight ... the shooting nerve pain/semi-paralysis happened to me a lot starting in my second trimester right up till even after I gave birth (still get little jolts now and then). You need someone to massage your legs when this happens. That's all I can suggest. :(

Also, this could be sciatica ... if your bubloo is touching a certain nerve while swimming inside, you are out of luck. Just have to endure it.
