I have kept benadryl with me to give it to him, but AH never needed to use it. I am lucky in the sense that my son is really good at traveling with us. He is 4 1/2 and he has been to pakistan 4 time, Turkey, Canada and Seattle once each AH…and we have never had any issues. I also dont change his nap/sleeping schedule just before the flight, since kids get more cranky when sleepy and are unable to fall a sleep.
But OP situation is a little tougher since she is pregnant.
OP if you toddler takes a pacifier, make sure he uses it during take off and landing…it is suppose to reduce the ear pressure.
