need help planning a 3-days 2-nights stay in dubai

We’ll be there early July iA and have chosen this for our stay :

ibis Deira City Centre hotel: Book a hotel in DUBAI

economical and in the main city apparently.

I searched online for recommended places to visit but most of them seem not too exciting for a visit with a 5y and a 2y old boy, both extremely restless and demanding :bummer: I am not too adventurous right now and looking forward to a relaxing trip rather than visiting 10 places in a day all day long with aching body at night ! Please advise accordingly (and dont forget I need some time to shop too :D)

It's going to be pretty hot but Ski Dubai, Underwater Park at The Dubai Mall. Trying to think of other places your kids might like, would they like to go swimming with dolphins? They would love Candilicious!

The Dubai Mall
Mirdif City Center
Mall of the Emirates

Re: need help planning a 3-days 2-nights stay in dubai

thanksss ! Gina, was candilicious for kids or myself ??? :D

skidubai=they wont allow the younger one and either of us will have to stay out and take the elder one in ! (happened with my sister last year)

so far,

  1. An (water) amusement park(which one ? not too expensive..suitable for kids & a molvee hubby :D )
  2. 1 or 2 malls(dubai mall+underwater aquarium/mirdiff city centre/mall of emirates/deira city centre)
  3. lebanese/arabic cuisine (need recommended places for these..maybe a cruise dinner)
  4. A ferry drive maybe ?

and ?

Re: need help planning a 3-days 2-nights stay in dubai

i dont like cruise dinner bc it gets cold very quick, go for wild wadi, well no water amusement park for maulvi huby , i think leave deira city center n chose bw mirdi n mall of emirates n mirdif n they both r almost same.

Re: need help planning a 3-days 2-nights stay in dubai

The underwarter zoo at The Dubai Mall is great, Candilicious for everyone!

Hallab in Garhoud and at The Dubai Mall has great Lebanese food and so does Karam Beirut at The Dubai Mall. You should go to Festival City as well they have something or the other going-on for kids. If you tell me what you want to shop for I could give you a better idea Inshallah.

P.S. Keep me on speed-dial when you are in town.

Re: need help planning a 3-days 2-nights stay in dubai

If you can leave the kids with your husband to babysit, take a cab to the Meena Bazaar area which is an old souk full of material and you can find really nice bargains and Indian sari's outfits as well as trinkets etc.

I don't know if there are any animated 3D movies playing at that time, but the kids might enjoy that. JBR The Walk, open beach is a nice place. The Atlantis is a must see, don't know if you'd like to go to their water-park 'Aquaventure'.

Madinat Jumeirah is also a 'must-see', for juice and sheesha Khan Murjan at Wafi is really nice...they have the best sheesha in Dubai.
