I have picked a design for the barat day jewellery, thanks to the pics posted on this site! and i will be giving them to the jewllers to make ia set for me. The lengha i will be wearing is a deep red with lots of gold embroidary and green and red stone work on it.
but im stuck now because i need a set design that will look good with my walima outfit! The outfit if an dark autumn green lengha with a deep marron duppata and it has alot of bronze coloured kadai on the top and bottom…i know your supposed to wear a light colour on the walima but i fell in love with both the lengha and my in laws luved it too.
The normal gold would not look right with the lengha and my in laws want to give me gold so i thought a set with an antique gold look would look better.
The idea i have in my head it that for the 1st day im gonna go for a very traditional pakistani look with my hair, make up and jewellry and for the second day more indiani as i think the lengha would look right in a bollywood movie!lol
I have been searching this site for ideas but there is so much post it’s confusing me more!
In terms of jewellry i want a necklace, earrings jhoomar and small tikka. not a really big set as the neck is not that big but i don't want a small set eitha!!
ok i have been scouring the internet and found a pic of a set i think would look good and it’s different from the jewellry i am wearing on the 1st day, only problem is i dont’ know where i got it from anf need a better pic for the jewllers!!!

did you check the vintage bridal jewellery thread thats running around here somewhere? its got some beautiful stuff! ziggy and chanda are the girls to talk to for those pictures.
