Re: Need Help My Beautiful Chefs

Put the remaining lasagne in a new dish, not the one you put in the fridge, cover with a microwave cover or a plate and heat on full. the cheese on the top wont soften and will remain hard due to it being cooked previously but it should all heat thru

Re: Need Help My Beautiful Chefs

Sprinkle a little water over it.
Cover it with foil (tightly)
Place it into the oven at 350ยบ for 30 minutes or so or until it looks hot
Stick a knife into the center and then feel the end of the knife to see if it feels warm, if the knife doesn't get warm it isn't hot in the center yet.
You can get some extra sauce to serve with it.

Re: Need Help My Beautiful Chefs

MC12, you know when you are making lasagna , save just two to three tablespoons of white sauce ... When done eating the lasagna , just before placing it in the fridge , cover the top with the white sauce...

Next day when you want to reheat , cover the dish with a microwave safe plate ... and using medium heat level , microwave it ... I think it should come out fine that way ...

Cheese once melted and overcooked , becomes hard when you warm it the second time ... so here are a few simple tricks :

1- When making lasagna , dont add the top layer of cheese from the start , let the lasagna cook 75% and then add the top layer of cheese and take it out of the oven before it strts changing color. The idea is to just melt it enough ..but not over heat it.

2- Before putting the left over lasagna in the fridge , make sure you cover the top layerd cheese in either white sauce or some more grated cheese ... so as to trap its moisture in it for next day reheat.

3- Usually when i reheat the lasagna the next day , I do add tiny bit more cheese on the top to get that softer touch :@:
