I want to know which indian yewellers (fb) offers sets like these in actual gold or goldplated… i am interested in the stones.. i think this is polki? what is the cheaper option, coz as far as i know this is type of diamond?? or am i totally wrong?

Please could you give me some good advice. I am thinking of buying something like this in pakistan and if not possible order froman indian yeweller online…???
Also what kind of prices should i be thinking about in the following options:

-silver—> goldplated with actual polki
-if not polki another version of stones which looks very similar? with gold or glod plated..

I would love to see pictures of other options…

Re: need help! jewellery

hi Funky Nails!

I tend to upload pictures with spaces in the file names, so that's why you couldn't upload it here. If you just download it to your computer, and change the name to something with no spaces, you could probably upload it here with no glitches.

Polki and Kundan are the same type of stone-setting* t*echnique*.* The difference is that the word polki is used when the setting contains clear, white diamonds, and the word kundan is used for any other type of stone including crystal or semi-precious coloured gems.

You can find sets like this online, from places like Dress Republic and Bargello, both of which are pakistani companies. They do sets in plated and semi-precious. I can't vouch for their quality since I have never shopped from either of them, sorry! I don't know what's available in terms of facebook, but there are jewellers who sell their work through that network, so someone with more experience shopping there could probably give you some recommendations. Anyone?

Solitare jewelers in Lahore have a lot of polki and other people here have mentioned Sahazia Deen as well.
